Avalon technology's biometric mouse chosen to aid parental control

Monday, August 25, 2008 in News

Avalon Technology Group, a developer of biometric hardware solutions, announced it has been chosen to integrate biometric mouse technology by a supplier of parental control software. The software that Avalon’s mouse is integrated with is designed to protect children from adult-oriented Web sites and block predatory language from chat rooms.

The new combined product of software and mouse is expected to increase security by utilizing the biometrics in the mouse to help curb children lying about their age to gain access to age restricted sites. With both the biometric control and remote parental control it is expected that much of the dangerous Internet actions committed by children could be prevented. [end]
