Imprivata, a biometrics developer, has announced that Stock Yards Bank & Trust (SYBT) has implemented its OneSign solution to secure access to data within their financial applications such as Fiserv, loan application software. Imprivata was chosen due to their systems ability to integrate with the SYBT existing financial systems.

Moving from password protected systems and applications to biometrically secured systems and applications was an easy switch for the bank as many employees needed to remember multiple passwords for many different applications which was not a secure solution as well as slowing employee productivity. OneSign enables all employees to use their fingerprint as a password for all secured applications and systems. Additionally, OneSign could reduce IT costs associated with password recovery.

PhoneFactor boosts client roster with four new banks

PhoneFactor Inc. continues to grow its financial services roster announcing additions to its most recent clientele: Heartland Financial USA, OceanFirst Bank, Northway Bank, and CUANY Credit Union. The PhoneFactor solutions have been utilized by financial institutions as a way to protect customers using e-banking from online fraud. Additionally the PhoneFactor technology can authenticate bank employees for remote logins.

Mexican Bank taps Gemalto for bank cards

Banco Del Bajio, a financial institution based in Mexico, has selected Gemalto to implement the Allynis Instant Artwork solution. Banco Del Baijo provides service primarily to the small to medium enterprise and agricultural sector. The use of the Gemalto product will enable the bank to order small quantities of smart payment cards with a unique artwork design, extending services to the secure EMV bank cards program.

Gemalto chosen for Home Trust EMV card implementation project

The Canadian Visa vendor Home Trust has selected Gemalto to manage its migration to EMV smart payment cards. Up until now the company has supplied only magnetic strip payment cards. With the support of Gemalto, Home Trust will begin issuing the new cards through pilot programs in Ontario.
