AuthenWare signs port operator

AuthenWare, a provider of keystroke biometrics software, announced that Hutchinson Port Holdings Group (HPH) has selected its patent-pending software to handle the security interactions between its customers and U.S. Customs for its Americas operation. HPH is a leading port investor, developer and operator.

HPH Americas is implementing AuthenTest to increase the security of the interactions between its customers and Customs declaration systems. The company has a portal where its customers can declare goods entering or leaving port. Using AuthenTest, Hutchinson Port Holdings will be able to ensure that its customers can transact with the Customs application safely, and without risk sensitive information being lost, stolen or misused. [end] 

McDonald’s and Barclaycard are gearing up to launch NFC awareness campaigns aimed at spurring the adoption of contactless payment technology, according to MarketingWeek.

Barclaycard, which holds the highest share (71%) of the UK contactless market, reports that contactless transactions have doubled in the last year, but are still “nowhere near” where they want to be, according to Tom Gregory, Barclaycard’s head of digital payments.

GAO RFID has released a Wiegand-to-Ethernet RFID controller designed specifically for door access applications.

The network access controller, model 491018, is able to connect to any type of Wiegand reader such as magnetic stripe reader, RFID reader or fingerprint reader. It also offers a master card for adding or deleting access privileges directly from the external reader, thus acting independently without connection to a network or PC.

AuthenWare has announced a reseller agreement with 2Keys Security Solutions, an information technology security company, allowing 2Keys to resell AuthenWare’s behavioral biometrics software.

The software from AuthenWare is their keystroke authentication software which determines a user’s identity based off the unique patterns he types with.
