Latest release of Equitrac Professional launched

Equitrac Corp., a Plantation, Fla. print and cost management solutions provider, has released the latest version of its print management and cost recovery program for law, architecture and engineering firms, consultants and other professional services providers. Equitrac Professional can automatically match equipment to specific business requirements and simplify IT support of print operations.

It also captures every client-related expense for bill back. In its latest release, usability has been enhanced with easier disbursement control and processing. Additionally, technical support has been expanded for wide format printing and Microsoft Windows Server 2008. Enhancements include streamlined disbursement entries, improved scanning processes and expanded wide format device support [end] 

DigitalPersona announced the release of a new version of its Pro Enterprise software solution, version 5.2.

Among the aspects of the new version DigitalPersona is touting are the extensive number of factors a company utilizing the solution can use to authenticate for access to sensitive information or secured computer stations. These factors include what a user knows, such as PINs or passwords, things you have, such as smart cards, contactless identity cards or Bluetooth devices, and things you are, such as fingerprints.

Research In Motion has officially launched BlackBerry 7.1 OS, the latest upgrade to its smart phone operating system.

Available today on BlackBerry App World, BlackBerry 7.1 offers a new content sharing application for NFC phone users called “BlackBerry Tag.” According to RIM, the app allows users to swap contact info, documents, photos, URLs, and invite friends to BBM by simply tapping their NFC-enabled handsets together.

Inside Secure has launched a free, open-source NFC protocol stack for Google’s new Android 4.0 “Ice Cream Sandwich” mobile operating system.

According to Inside, Open NFC 4.3.3 is compliant with the Ice Cream Sandwich release Compatibility Definition Document (CDD) for NFC, and supports all the latest Android NFC features, including Android Beam and WiFi Direct pairing connection.
