Digital Identification releases new card management software suite

Thursday, November 5, 2009

Digital Identification Solutions, a German ID supplier, has launched its new EDIsecure Card Management Software Suite, CMS 4.0, that includes extended functionality and a new graphical user interface for its two stand-alone editions, CMS Standard and CMS Standard Plus.

Designed to meet most budgets, the software suite consists of four different editions with increasing functionality and offers a range of features for different applications, such as employee and visitor cards, access control, membership and loyalty cards, driver licenses, and photo IDs. The GUI in the two stand-alone editions utilizes familiar Microsoft-like controls.

Various styles to modify the GUI can be selected to better meet individual customer requirements with different color themes and toolbars. The two Web-enabled editions, CMS Advanced and CMS Corporate, allow card issuance and data access to be securely distributed over a network.

CMS Standard is designed for single-user ID applications such as small businesses, health care facilities, schools, and clubs, where a database is not necessary to manage personal records. CMS Standard Plus addresses the ID card production needs of corporations and card service organizations which need to maintain several databases.

CMS Advanced edition is designed for medium to large organizations operating via a corporate network while CMS Corporate is for large corporations and organizations that need more secure credential applications. [end]
