Tuesday, March 2, 2010

HID Global announced that it will promote its vision and advancements in risk management technologies at the 2010 RSA Conference in San Francisco. HID Global’s solutions combine physical and logical security to deliver data security through a single smart card for organizations seeking advanced yet convenient security solutions.

HID Global will demonstrate a variety of solutions based around its HID on the Desktop solutions, including Crescendo cards, OMNIKEY readers and naviGO software, at the HID Global booth 2317, in the Moscone Center.

Key HID Global demonstrations at RSA include:

  • HID on the Desktop - HID on the Desktop enables organizations to leverage existing physical access cards to deploy an additional layer of data security using smart card technology, PKI and digital certificates. As a three-component solution - HID Global contact and contactless smart cards, OMNIKEY readers and naviGO software - HID on the Desktop provides corporate enterprises and government agencies with the flexibility to deploy the most “risk-appropriate” authentication solution based on their unique security requirements.

  • Compatibility with McAfee Endpoint Encryption - Crescendo smart cards and OMNIKEY brand readers have been successfully tested for compatibility with McAfee Endpoint Encryption. Through its inclusion in the McAfee Security Innovation Alliance, McAfee users can leverage HID Global’s converged solutions for logical and physical access.

  • HID Global’s naviGO software – Allows the addition of logical access functionality to cards regardless of the existing physical access control system or IT infrastructure.

  • OMNIKEY Readers - OMNIKEY readers, including desk-top readers with contact and/or contactless interface and readers to support today’s mobile workforce, offer one-stop shopping for ready-to-use PC smart card reader devices. OMNIKEY products are designed to support any PC/SC based smart card interface on a variety of operating systems.

  • Secure document printing solutions - HID Global’s solutions will highlight the ability to expand existing IT and physical security infrastructure using a single card for multiple applications. The booth will feature demonstrations of Capella Technologies’ eco-friendly SecureJet secure document printing solutions with HP printers that help organizations control and reduce costs and comply with privacy laws.
