Todos onMobile product accepted by Norwegian bank group

Tuesday, March 2, 2010

The Bankenes BetalingsSentral (BBS), the central clearing house for bank payments in Norway, has agreed to adopt Todos’s onMobile solution for mobile authentication. The group, which consists of 25 Norwegian banks conducted a pilot program of the system before deciding on Todos.

The decision was finalized as Todos AB was able to tailor the Java midlet version of onMobile to the special requirements of the Norwegian market. Additional features include downloadable over-the-air (OTA) function, creating both a cheap and convenient way to deploy the system.

BBS, which had already utilized the Todos Versatile Authentication Server for digital authentication, expects hundreds of thousands to adopt the new mobile system in just a short time.

Currently Todos AB delivers more than 20 million products to more than 100 financial institutions in more than 30 countries. [end]
