IdentityGuard Mobile allows strong authentication for smart phone users

Entrust Inc. IdentityGuard introduced a mobile component to its authentication product which allows consumer, corporate or enterprise users to conduct secure authentication on smart phones.

The platform approach of IdentityGuard allows the deployment of different authenticators based on specific requirements. This makes for a more universal user acceptance.


Additionally the mobile component will present security options on devices that are used in everyday life. IdentityGuard Mobile uses software to help defeat the latest malware threat affecting online-banking users called man-in-the-browser. It is also proven effective as an authentication capability for enterprise VPN access.

The smart phone application manages multiple identities with the use of a single device. Offerings include complete SMS authentication with transaction details along with mobile out-of-band transaction verification and signature. Entrust IdentityGuard Mobile also provides one-time-passcode authentication and the secure delivery of transaction details to thwart any attacks to the network. [end]

Turkcell, Turkey’s largest mobile operator, has announced the launch of a SIM-based NFC road toll payment application on the Turkcell T11 smart phone.

Developed in collaboration with Bank Asya, the app allows users to migrate their plastic KGS toll payment cards onto their T11 smart phone to pay for fares when crossing bridges and freeway turnpikes.
