ActivIdentity develops relationships to extend managed security service

Thursday, May 13, 2010

ActivIdentity Corp. has expanded its commitment to providing strong authentication services by enlisting Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs) to build up its subscription-based business. The MSSPs serve as a cloud-based strong authentication and credential management service that will help the company obtain long term customers and profits.

ActivIdentity’s multipurpose authentication solution consists of ActivIdentity 4TRESS Authentication Server and the ActivID Card Management System, making it a prime system for building up a managed security service and continuing to minimize the number of security threats.

Additionally, ActivIdentity will collaborate with HP Enterprise Services and British Telecom. This is an effort for the company to boost its presence in the service provider community and become the global leader in delivering broadband and other wireless and wireline communications services to its partner base within the MSSP network. They have now made it a priority to target the vertical markets of the financial services industry and the state and local government sector. [end]
