Tx Systems to distribute idOnDemand solutions

Monday, June 21, 2010

idOnDemand has partnered with smart card distributor, Tx Systems, to offer its customers SmartID and on-demand services. This partnership enables the reseller to offer both small and large organizations a single identity card with multiple functionalities.

Tx Systems also agreed to add idOnDemand’s products and services because the solutions come at an affordable cost to the customer and feature an Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) capability. IaaS computerizes the process of enrolling, producing and distributing an identity consolidating into one secure ID card.

This replaces the need for multiple physical cards or virtual identity systems and organizes the data instead onto a multi-function smart card infrastructure.

A single identity card can access buildings, login to IT resources, access VPN or wireless networks, interact with secure email, encrypt critical business information and extend organizational security to external cloud service providers. [end]

The July meeting of the influential Government Smart Card Interagency Advisory Board (IAB) was recently held in Washington D.C. FIPS201.com was on hand to cover the event and has provided, as a service to the IAB and the smart card community, an audio recording of the presentations.
