DigitalPersona releases new full disk encryption solution

DigitalPersona has announced the release of new biometric solution for digital access management, data protection and communication security.

The solution, called DigitalPersona Pro Enterprise, is capable of full disk encryption, two-factor virtual private network authentication utilizing biometrics and smart cards, fingerprint biometrics, is integrated with Microsoft Active Directory and can all be managed from a central system.


Other benefits of the new offering DigitalPersona is touting include the systems relative low-cost, scalability, simplicity and familiarity the system has with IT administrators and that’s its pro edition can manage other security applications already installed on individual notebooks or desktops. [end] 

DigitalPersona announced the release of a new version of its Pro Enterprise software solution, version 5.2.

Among the aspects of the new version DigitalPersona is touting are the extensive number of factors a company utilizing the solution can use to authenticate for access to sensitive information or secured computer stations. These factors include what a user knows, such as PINs or passwords, things you have, such as smart cards, contactless identity cards or Bluetooth devices, and things you are, such as fingerprints.

Web security provider Zvelo has uncovered a way crack the Google Wallet PIN security feature.

Using an app called “Wallet Cracker,” Zvelo was able to expose the PIN of a Google Wallet account without entering a single invalid attempt – five invalid attempts and the wallet locks out.
