Entrust solution named finalist in technology awards

The 10th Annual Tech Titans and Titan Fast Awards have named Entrust’s IdentityGuard Mobile application a finalist in the Corporate Horizon category. The award is granted by the Texas based technology trade organization, Metroplex Technology Business Council (MTBC).

The Tech Titans Award, which recognizes companies who have made a significant contribution in the area of technology, expressed interest in Entrust’s identity solution saying that the company has made a noteworthy effort and commitment to protecting against online threats.


The Tech Titans and Titan Fast are part of Tech America, which has been holding these awards since 2001. The North Texas region has made itself known for one-half of Texas’ technology workforce. The North Texas area was recently rated fifth among U.S. cities in high-tech employment. The Dallas-Fort Worth area was ranked second nationwide for employment in both the telecommunications services and Internet services sectors.

The Tech Titans Awards winners will be revealed at the Tech Titans Awards gala event on Aug. 27 at the Renaissance Hotel Dallas-Richardson in Richardson, Texas. [end] 

DigitalPersona announced the release of a new version of its Pro Enterprise software solution, version 5.2.

Among the aspects of the new version DigitalPersona is touting are the extensive number of factors a company utilizing the solution can use to authenticate for access to sensitive information or secured computer stations. These factors include what a user knows, such as PINs or passwords, things you have, such as smart cards, contactless identity cards or Bluetooth devices, and things you are, such as fingerprints.

SCHUFA, a German credit reporting agency, has issued more than 1 million grid cards from Entrust for multi-factor authentication to its consumer portal. SCHUFA and its customers rely on the Entrust IdentityGuard authentication platform and Entrust’s grid cards.

The U.S. General Services Administration has awarded Entrust Inc. a four-year, $4.5 million contract to continue providing hosted PKI services and digital certificates as the security infrastructure for HSPD-12 initiatives. An incumbent in the re-compete proposal, Entrust has provided managed PKI solutions and services for the GSA’s credentialing program since 2007.

Entrust Inc. has made enhancements to its Entrust Discovery digital certificate product by expanding search capabilities for digital certificates residing within Microsoft’s Cryptographic APIs and adding more than 25 basic or custom policy field alerts to ease certificate management.
