PhoneFactor announces Citrix Ready verification

PhoneFactor Inc. has received verification as Citrix Ready, a program that assists customers with third-party solutions in virtualization, networking and cloud computing. This verification will now enable organizations to ensure capability with PhoneFactor phone-based authentication and Citrix secure logins.

PhoneFactor is a provider of phone-based multi-factor authentication services, providing customers with enhance authentication on mobile phones.


A user simply logs into Citrix with a username and password and receives a call. The user will then press # or PIN which grants immediate access. Other features include two-factor authentication by text message and a voice biometric option.

The Citrix Ready program will allow customers to identify paired products and solutions to develop Citrix environments. Now that PhoneFactor has been verified, industries utilizing their services such as healthcare, banking and government organizations, can also use Citrix security applications. [end] 

MasterCard has certified a slew of NFC-enabled smart phones for use with MasterCard PayPass contactless payment technology.

Newly certified devices include: BlackBerry Bold 9790, BlackBerry Curve 9380, HTC One X, Intel Smartphone Reference Device, LG Viper 4G LTE, LG Optimus Elite, Nokia 603, Nokia Lumia 610 NFC, Samsung Wave Y, Samsung Galaxy mini 2, Samsung Galaxy S Advance, Samsung Galaxy Nexus (GT-i9250), Sony Xperia S, Sony Xperia P and Sony Xperia sola.

PhoneFactor launched an app for smart phones and tablets that allow users to physically verify a transaction. The app pushes a notification to the user’s smart phone alerting the user a transaction is in process.

Internet fraud prevention and authentication provider TeleSign has teamed up with Intel Corp. for a secure two-factor authentication product targeted to consumers and enterprises.

The collaboration pairs Intel Identity Protection Technology (Intel IPT) with TeleSign Two-Factor Authentication so that it can be offered beyond Intel Ultrabook devices and the third generation of Intel Core vPro-powered laptops.
