DERMALOG releases sensor embedded keyboards

DERMALOG, a Germany-based manufacturer of biometrics solutions, has presented a new solution at the CeBIT 2011 conference called DERMALOG FingerLogin.

FingerLogin is a standard computer keyboard with an integrated fingerprint scanner designed for use at work stations for fingerprint-basedlogical access control. The solution connects to a computer over a USB connection and has additional fraud detection capabilities such as its Live Finger Scanner which deters a fraudster from using any sort of artificial finger to fool the system. [end] 

Mobile and network security provider AuthenTec has released the AuthenTec AE2750, a fingerprint sensor designed for use in mobile commerce applications.

The AE2750 contains many features found in smart sensor designs, such as a 192 pixel by 8 pixel fingerprint sensor array. It also offers hybrid fingerprint matching on a sensor match and host match, AES, RSA and SHA encryption block and One Time Password generation. The device can mount on smart phones, tablest and touchscreen-enabled mobile devices.

The Open Standard for Public Transport (OSPT) Alliance announced that austriamicrosystems has joined as a full member.

Hamburg, Germany’s DERMALOG Identification Systems has created middleware for its automated fingerprint identification system (AFIS). While enabling fingerprint logins through any type of software application, this product may help eliminate the need for usernames and passwords.
