Bell ID unveils platform to simplify EMV, NFC application management

Bell ID announced the launch of the Bell ID EMV Token Manager, a new Web-based solution designed to coordinate and simplify the management of any type or combination of EMV token deployment.

The Bell ID EMV Token Manager performs data preparation for any EMV or chip payment application and for managing the entire life cycles of an EMV token, its associated applications and related cryptographic keys. This includes support for contact, contactless and dual interface cards as well as the option to support contactless applications in NFC enabled mobile devices.


In addition, Bell ID EMV Token Manager’s improved and intuitive online user interface simplify operations management and configuration with optional enhancements such as EMV instant issuance, EMV scripting, internet PIN change, multi-application management, post-issuance management functionality and NFC mobile application management.

Token Manager is compliant to standards such as EMV, PCI and GlobalPlatform, enabling customers to implement fully certified end-to-end solutions. The platform has also been re-engineered based on the latest technology standards, and offers complete IT platform and database independence. [end] 

HSBC announced that it will begin the conversion to contactless technology this month, replacing all customer banking debit cards, according to ThinkMoney.com.

The bank will start to roll out the new contactless cards to existing customers whose debit cards are due to expire this month and then continue the process as cards expire. Customers who don’t want a contactless card can opt out by contacting their bank before their current card expires.
