Entrust providing trial elliptic curve cryptography certificates

Tuesday, May 10, 2011

Entrust is introducing Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) certificate trials aiming to streamline security protocols. The elliptic curve certificates will provide the same level of security as other products but offer enhanced performance.

The certificates achieve this by reducing the key length that is required to encrypt other methods.

In just three simple steps, organizations are able to test different types of ECC digital certificates, including SSL server certificates and S/MIME certificates. [end]

GoldKey Security Corporation has announced that is will support two-factor authentication for Cisco’s upcoming release of its AnyConnect Secure Mobility VPN Client.

GoldKey’s security tokens with Elliptic Curve Cryptography capabilities can be used with the VPN client’s encryption of IP traffic based on the Suite B set of encryption algorithms designated by the National Security Agency (NSA) for Department of Defense communications.
