Wednesday, July 6, 2011

Swiss Web hosting provider Hostpoint has partnered with Symantec to offer Symantec’s SSL security products in the Web hosting category.

Hostpoint, a Symantec Gold Partner, will offer its Swiss clients the VeriSign Trust Seal, the VeriSign Secure Site SSL and Secure Site SSL EV digital certificates.

These products enable Hostpoint to provide safe and encrypted Internet data transmission, as well as smart add-on e-commerce services.

The VeriSign Secure Site SSL EV utilizes up to 256-bit strength encryption and incorporates strong identity verification. With the VeriSign Trust Seal, it provides a daily malware search and displays website security through a browser’s address bar.

Hostpoint plans to expand its services later this year in the e-commerce, domain name and Web hosting segments. [end]
