TRACT partnership simplifies cloud-based sign-on

Thursday, July 14, 2011

Texas-based online billing and revenue management firm Transverse has announced a partnership with OneLogin for simplifying cloud-based application login.

The partnership enables Transverse to implement OneLogin’s SAML-based single single-on for cloud-based applications on its TRACT rating and billing product.

Rather than relying on a potentially vulnerable password list, TRACT users will be able to launch any OneLogin-integrated Web application from a secure SSO portal.

The TRACT system uses the SAML 2.0 standard from OASIS. TRACT customers pay on a per-user fee basis for the TRACT system. [end]

OneLogin is now offering RSA SecurID technology as an integrated option on its cloud-based Identity & Access Management Service.

The SecurID feature will add a second layer of authentication to OneLogin in order to prevent unauthorized access to the product. To add the two-factor authentication, users may enter their personal password, along with a SecurID-generated one-time password.
