Radiant Logic launches cloud-based identity products

Tuesday, July 26, 2011

Virtual directory solutions provider Radiant Logic is releasing two cloud-based identity products at this week’s Gartner Catalyst Conference in San Diego.

The new offerings are the RadiantOne Cloud Federation Service (CFS) and the RadiantOne Virtual Directory Server Plus (VDS+). The products are intended to be deployed together to virtualize enterprise-wide identity service that supports cloud single sign-on and secure connections to cloud-based applications using federation architectures.

These two products help businesses connect internal and cloud-based identities. When used together, they collect scattered identity infrastructures and turn them into one logical identity that can be used for single sign-on.

The CFS Identity Provider and Security Token Service authenticates users and generates vendor-specific application tokens. The VDS+ product creates virtual aggregated directories for internal identity management. [end]

Radiant Logic announced that its RadiantOne identity virtualization platform can provide federated identity services that enable government agencies to meet FICAM requirements.

RadiantOne uses model-driven identity virtualization to provide the functions of a FICAM Authoritative Attribute Exchange Service (AAES) to securely share authoritative identity attributes within an agency. RadiantOne provides logical service layers to act as the Authoritative Attribute Manager and Authoritative Attribute Distributor. The platform uses a virtual abstraction layer to combine identity information from disparate areas and can give a global picture of identity, yet maintain security locally.
